Lets celebrate Jesus as Light in the darkness together this Christmas

Merry Christmas RumBloggers. It has been such a full ministry season for me, including my Mom’s baptism (AMAZING!). I may post more soon, but I wanted to let you in on Christmas at HPBC!

If you are near Toronto, you can celebrate Jesus this Christmas in the following ways at my church.

Our Theme this year is “Jesus: Light in the Darkness”

Deliver a Toronto Star shoe box to a home in the High Park neighbourhoods.

Saturday December 18 – 4pm. Join this family friendly neighbourhood organized event.  Make lanterns and eat gingerbread cookies in our lower lounge until the outdoor tree lighting countdown and then walk through Roncesvalles with lights shining alongside diverse community.  What a great way to enjoy winter with the neighbours and get set for Sunday night!

Sunday December 19 – 7pm only. This is a family friendly celebration of “Jesus: Light in the Darkness”. Come join in a group to sing contemporary worship songs and classic carols by our grand piano.  The final offering opportunity of 2010 will be provided for you to make donations to the cause of Christ through HPBC during the service.  Children are welcome in the service. It will be beautiful and creative.

Saturday December 25 – TBD. Christmas Day Celebration. Imagine singing Carols in multiple languages.  How cool is that?!  There is no need for anyone to be alone on Christmas Day when we are having this delightful pot luck that will include warm socializing as we eat, sing, and reflect on Scripture in a diverse ethnic expression of Christmas.

Would you like to be sitting beside any of your family, friends, neighbours or associates during any of these HPBC Christmas experiences?

Merry Christmas Y’all.
